About The Position

Help the clinic run smoothly and take care of patient needs by assisting the medical providers. Be part of a patient centered team that provide pro-active clinical support while assisting the clinician in meeting patient care follow-up, exam room set up and meeting organizational goals.

Requirements

• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program with over 100 hours of hands-on externship experience.
• Two (2+) years recent experience as a Medical Assistant in lieu of school.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism and empathy when interacting with patients.
• Always be respectful.
• Strong communication skills – proactively ask for help, etc.
• Must be reliable and punctual.

Responsibilities

• Build relationship with the provider to anticipate their needs to save time.
• Open the lab for your team, prepare rooms for patients, print out the schedule and huddle with providers in the morning.
• Take patients to the treatment room, get their vitals and reason for the appointment.
• Perform blood draws, injections, and other lab tests.
• Prepare rooms for procedures.
• Process prior authorizations, medical assistant orders, scheduling patients, lab results, medication refills, and stock patient rooms.
• Close the pod labs, sterilize the rooms and instruments, and prepare for the next day.
• Serve your community – you are here for the patients, and they are very grateful.
