About The Position

HeyTutor is partnering with a local school district in Lancaster to provide high-impact, in-person tutoring to Elementary School students. We are hiring Math Tutors to support students in grades 3rd-5th. This is a great opportunity for college students, aspiring educators, and education professionals looking for consistent hours, competitive pay, and meaningful work in their community. An in-person background check is required.

Requirements

• Completed AA degree or higher, OR currently enrolled in college (required)
• Experience working with children or tutoring preferred
• Comfortable tutoring Elementary School Math
• Ability to manage large groups of students independently
• Comfortable working in a classroom setting
• Ability to pass an FBI-DOJ in-person background check (provided by HeyTutor)

Nice To Haves

• Spanish Bilingual is preferred not required

Responsibilities

• Tutor large groups of students up to 15 without direct teacher supervision
• Deliver lessons using provided curriculum and materials
• Create an engaging, welcoming learning environment
• Support positive student behavior and participation
• Track attendance and student progress using the HeyTutor Dashboard
• Assist with student assessments when requested
• Escort students to and from designated areas on campus
• Clock in/out daily using Deputy
• Complete additional duties as assigned
