About The Position

Assist in developing, implementing, supporting, and auditing the operations training plan while leading the execution of training within manufacturing operations. This role requires strong technical aptitude, the ability to learn manufacturing processes quickly, and a passion for coaching and developing others.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • General understanding of all jobs in the production area of responsibility.
  • Ability and patience necessary to provide training.
  • Ability to use various hand tools.
  • Ability to multi-task and have strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with use of a computer, including Microsoft Office software.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership staff.
  • Ability to develop and deliver training to individuals or groups.
  • Exceptional oral and written communications.
  • Depending on position and division, may need to become a certified instructor in IPC and JSTD.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the development of lesson plans for technical training within operations.
  • Ensures the consistency of train the trainers within manufacturing.
  • Help develop and implement the on-the-job and new team member training program.
  • Help develop and implement safety training.
  • Conduct training and safety evaluations for continuous improvement to the programs.
  • Provide feedback and support to the Training and Development Dept on training progress and improvement suggestions.
  • Foster cross training opportunities while covering lines.
  • Contribute to a positive, team-oriented atmosphere and encourage good work habits.
  • Utilize patience and understanding to assist and motivate team members.
  • Demonstrate Viaflex Team Member Values in their daily actions.
  • Maintain clean and safe work areas.
  • May be called upon to perform comparable duties of a similar or near nature and/or assist in other areas as needed.
  • Learning, understanding, continuously improving, and promoting the division’s quality management system in accordance with ISO standards.
  • Supporting training and safety program compliance.
