About The Position

APEX Placement and Consulting has partnered with an exciting company in Sterling Heights, MI looking to add a Bilingual Machine Mold Technician to their already amazing team. Our client is a global leader in precision equipment used across the manufacturing industry! This is a direct hire role where you will work directly for our client. You will have the chance to travel throughout the U.S., Mexico, and Canada (about 70% travel required).

Requirements

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (mechatronics or engineering preferred) or 3–5 years of relevant hands-on experience
Bilingual in English and Spanish (reading, writing, and speaking)
Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to interpret and apply technical documentation
Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems and how they work together
Experience troubleshooting CNC machines and/or PLC systems (preferred)
Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to quickly adapt in a fast-paced environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel frequently

Nice To Haves

Programming experience with PLCs and I/O systems
Experience troubleshooting CNC machines and/or PLC systems

Responsibilities

Install, service, maintain, and retool deep rolling equipment at customer locations
Disassemble, inspect, and rebuild tooling and machine components
Assemble, align, and fine-tune machine systems, including spindles, bearings, slides, and drive mechanisms
Interpret blueprints and use precision measuring tools to ensure accurate specifications
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
Test, calibrate, and verify system performance and accuracy
Work with PLCs and I/O systems (programming experience is a plus)
Start up and troubleshoot new or rebuilt machines both in-house and onsite
Assist with shipping, receiving, and material handling, including forklift and pallet stacker operation
