About The Position

Job Duck is seeking a meticulous and service focused Bilingual Bookkeeper to support the financial operations of a litigation law firm. In this role, you will maintain accurate financial records, manage essential bookkeeping activities, and help ensure that financial information is complete, timely, and reliable. You will work closely with members of the finance team while processing transactions, reconciling accounts, supporting billing, and preparing preliminary financial information. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable managing detailed financial responsibilities with minimal supervision. This opportunity is well suited for someone who communicates professionally, enjoys solving problems, and takes pride in maintaining exceptional accuracy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred.
  • At least three years of professional bookkeeping experience.
  • Previous bookkeeping experience within a litigation law firm is preferred.
  • At least three years of experience using QuickBooks Online.
  • Familiarity with law firm trust accounting and trust account reconciliation.
  • Advanced English communication skills, particularly for professional email correspondence.
  • Availability Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time.
  • Experience using the following software and communication tools: QuickBooks Online, Lawmatics, RingCentral, Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Outlook.

  • Previous bookkeeping experience within a litigation law firm is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate information across accounting, CRM, email, and calendar systems.
  • Communicate professionally through email with internal team members and, when necessary, clients.
  • Collect, compile, and summarize financial data to prepare reports as needed.
  • Manage accounts receivable activities, including invoicing, tracking outstanding balances, and following up with clients regarding amounts owed.
  • Reconcile operating, trust, and other bank accounts each month.
  • Maintain and balance the general ledger in an accurate, complete, and current manner.
  • Manage assigned financial deadlines and follow through on responsibilities without requiring frequent reminders.
  • Maintain professional and technical proficiency to help ensure reports are timely, accurate, and consistent.
  • Support trust administration and billing functions.
  • Collaborate primarily with internal team members while responding to limited client calls as needed.
  • Compile and provide the financial data required for twice monthly payroll processing.
  • Enter adjusting journal entries and support preliminary financial statement preparation.
  • Process accounts payable activities, including reviewing, coding, and recording approved payments to vendors, suppliers, and other parties.
  • Record financial data and transactions accurately in QuickBooks Online.
  • Maintain accurate financial records for the firm’s operating and trust accounts.
