About The Position

The Bilingual Interpreter (Various Languages) position at District 6 is a Special Assignment role focused on translation services. The interpreter will translate instructions and other verbal/written communications and forms into Burmese, Karen, Karenni, Spanish, and Somali. This role requires excellent proficiency in both written and oral translation between English and these languages, along with good communication and organizational skills. The position also involves performing clerical duties such as composing letters and memos, record keeping, data entry, copying, collating, stapling, bookbinding, laminating, and filing. Additionally, the interpreter will attend professional development activities and function as a resource person to administrative personnel. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Vocational School Or any combination of related education, experience and training
  • Excellent proficiency in translating English into Burmese, Karen, Karenni, Spanish, and Somali, both written and oral
  • Good communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to perform all functions of the position
  • Computer skills - Word and Excel
