Requirements

Minimum 6 months of professional caregiving experience (home care, assisted living, or facility)
Must pass a caregiver skills assessment prior to hire
Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal & written) without an interpreter
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with mobility/transfers
Must have a smartphone with internet access for scheduling and documentation
Reliable transportation to client homes (car preferred)
Must pass a background check and NC Health Care Personnel Registry clearance
Flexible availability, including weekends
Compassionate, patient, and dependable

Nice To Haves

Bilingual (English + Spanish or another language) strongly preferred

Responsibilities

Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs): bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and transfers
Safely support mobility, including use of wheelchairs and assistive devices
Provide companionship, conversation, and emotional support
Offer medication reminders (no administration)
Perform light housekeeping, laundry, meal prep, grocery shopping, and errands
Follow individualized care plans and agency policies
Observe and report any changes in client condition to a supervisor
