About The Position

Del Vacchio Landscapes & Christmas Decor is a high-end landscape, hardscape, and holiday decorating company with over 37 years of experience. They are seeking a bilingual (English/Spanish) HR & Recruiting Coordinator to support recruiting, onboarding, employee engagement, and team culture. This role is crucial for supporting labor and team growth, requiring a strong local presence to connect with candidates in the community, support both Spanish-speaking and English-speaking team members, and foster a positive employee experience. The ideal candidate is organized, approachable, and experienced in recruiting, onboarding, HR support, employee communication, and culture-building, with a passion for working with people, supporting field teams, and contributing to a respectful, team-oriented workplace. This position is particularly suited for individuals who understand the local labor market, are comfortable with community-based outreach, and can build trust with diverse communities.

Requirements

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
  • Must be local to West Chester, PA, or the surrounding area.
  • Comfortable working in person and being present with the team on a regular basis.
  • Experience in recruiting, HR generalist work, onboarding, employee relations, culture-building, or related people-focused roles.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and follow-up skills.
  • Comfortable communicating with field employees, office staff, candidates, company leadership, and outside recruiting partners.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Friendly, professional, approachable, and able to build trust with employees and candidates.
  • Comfortable supporting both administrative HR tasks and hands-on people communication.
  • Basic proficiency with email, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, applicant tracking systems, HR software or similar business tools.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and handle employee information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Reliable transportation required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience recruiting for field labor, landscaping, construction, trades, hospitality, facilities, or service-based businesses preferred.
  • Familiarity with social media recruiting, community recruiting, employee referral programs, grassroots candidate outreach, or workforce-development partnerships is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Spanish-speaking community outreach, bilingual employee communication, or multicultural workplace support is strongly preferred.
  • Valid driver's license preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support local recruiting efforts for landscape, hardscape, outdoor lighting, holiday decor, and field operations positions.
  • Identify, attract, and communicate with qualified local candidates, including Spanish-speaking and bilingual candidates.
  • Assist with candidate outreach, phone screens, interview scheduling, follow-up, and hiring coordination.
  • Identify local recruiting channels, community connections, referral opportunities, and grassroots hiring strategies.
  • Support recruiting outreach through local community networks, workforce-development resources, employee referrals, and other local candidate sources.
  • Assist with social media recruiting efforts by helping create, coordinate, or share hiring-related content for company social channels.
  • Partner with leadership and recruiting partners to keep hiring efforts moving forward.
  • Support onboarding for new hires, including new hire paperwork, orientation coordination, first-day communication, new team member follow-up, and basic policy/expectation review.
  • Ensure new employees understand company expectations, policies, safety standards, communication practices, and team culture.
  • Serve as a bilingual communication resource for English-speaking and Spanish-speaking employees.
  • Help new employees feel welcomed, informed, and supported during their first days and weeks.
  • Assist with HR generalist duties, including employee records, basic policy communication, attendance support, documentation, employee questions, and HR-related follow-up.
  • Support offboarding processes, including exit communication, documentation, and feedback gathering.
  • Strengthen company culture through employee check-ins, recognition efforts, team communication, engagement initiatives, and retention support.
  • Maintain organized records of recruiting activity, onboarding progress, employee communication, and HR-related follow-ups.
  • Work closely with company leadership to support a positive, respectful, and accountable workplace culture.
  • Represent the company professionally in local recruiting, community, and workforce-development efforts.
