About The Position

Collective Choice, an Alera Group company, is looking for a Bilingual Health Insurance Agent (Korean/English) to join our team for a new role based from our Koreatown office location. Alera Group was founded in 2017 and has grown to become the 14th largest broker of US business. We are passionate about our clients’ success in the areas of Employee Benefits, Property and Casualty Insurance, Retirement Plan Services, and Wealth Services. With a network of offices nationwide, our commitment to collaboration allows us to offer national resources combined with local service.

Requirements

  • Bilingual fluency in Korean and English (spoken and written).
  • High school diploma or equivalent (college coursework or degree a plus).
  • At least 1 year of experience in sales, customer service, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of health insurance plans, benefits, and enrollment processes.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of self-motivation, accountability, and professionalism.
  • Comfort using Google Workspace and CRM tools.
  • Detail-oriented, well-organized, and eager to learn and grow within the industry.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients by providing education, guidance, and exceptional service throughout the enrollment process.
  • Guide clients through health, dental, vision, and supplemental insurance options, tailoring plans to meet their individual needs and budgets.
  • Engage with prospective and existing clients by phone, online, and in person, ensuring timely follow-ups to maximize enrollment and satisfaction.
  • Clearly explain insurance concepts such as subsidies, deductibles, co-pays, and out-of-pocket maximums, empowering clients to make informed decisions.
  • Accurately maintain client records in our CRM system and on platforms such as Covered California, ensuring compliance, confidentiality, and data security.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service and connect clients with appropriate resources when additional support is needed.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals, share best practices, brainstorm marketing ideas, and maintain a welcoming, professional office environment.
