About The Position

Casa de Salud Medical Clinic is a nonprofit located in the South Valley of Albuquerque and offers fair priced, integrative healthcare to patients who commonly lack access to adequate healthcare services. At Casa de Salud, care is rooted in dignity, trust, creativity, cultural humility, and mutual respect. The Casa de Salud Health Apprentice Program is a unique opportunity for college students who aspire to become healthcare professionals to learn on-the-job under the supervision of licensed and trained health professionals and peers. This program will assist students in gaining experience for entry level positions in health care settings and to create a solid foundation for medical school or other related careers. Many of our alumni go on to become doctors, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses and administrators. Some return to practice medicine at Casa de Salud, or go on to careers in hospitals and other clinics. The Casa de Salud Health Apprentice Program seeks to provide a pipeline to diversity in healthcare professions in New Mexico. Women, people of color, and LGBTQ+ people are highly encouraged to apply.
