About The Position

EECU is seeking a Bilingual Financial Center Consultant I (Teller) to join their Northside location. This role involves being the welcoming face for members, assisting with transactions, and guiding them towards products and solutions that align with their financial objectives. The position emphasizes delivering excellent service, building member relationships, and supporting marketing initiatives. EECU is committed to compliance with all relevant regulations and requires a credit check, background check, and drug screen for successful candidates.

Requirements

  • One to two years minimum experience in a retail or financial environment requiring excellent service and rapport building.
  • Daily cash handling experience with the ability to balance without overages or shortages.
  • Strong communication skills for comfortable and free conversation in all member interactions.
  • Enthusiasm and professionalism with a high level of ownership and accountability.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks daily.
  • Good listening skills, approachability, problem-solving abilities, and empathy.
  • Relevant computer skills.
  • Solid math and written communication skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Bilingual required - able to read, write, and speak Spanish.
  • Must be available during the hours of 8am- 6:15pm Monday - Friday, and 8:45am-1:15pm Saturdays.
  • Good credit history.
  • Ability to clear a background check including employment, criminal, and drug screen.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct teller transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, and check cashing.
  • Provide a complete service and sales experience for members, aiming to exceed monthly sales goals.
  • Solve operational issues.
  • Proactively initiate and support marketing initiatives within the branch.
  • Build exceptional rapport with members by providing excellent service.
  • Cover the lobby by greeting members, answering calls, and directing them to appropriate employees.
  • Ensure compliance with all Federal and State rules and regulations, including Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, and others.
  • Attend initial and ongoing annual Bank Secrecy Act training.
