About The Position
At Tutor Me Education, we are revolutionizing the way students learn, and we're seeking passionate teachers and tutors with special education experience to provide 1:1 in-home tutoring in Menifee, CA! If you're committed to making a difference in the lives of students with special needs and helping them achieve academic success, we want to hear from you! As an Tutor at Tutor Me Education, you’ll provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring to students with special needs in their homes. You will be responsible for helping students with daily activities, offering moral support, and delivering tailored instruction based on their Individualized Education Plan (IEP). We are currently hiring for multiple positions across all cities in Menifee, CA.
Requirements
- Teaching credential required
- Fluent in both English and Spanish
- Strong background in 4th-grade math instruction aligned with California standards
- Experience teaching multiplication, fractions, geometry, measurement, and word problem strategies
- Skilled in reading comprehension instruction, especially higher-level and multi-step questioning
- Able to prepare structured lesson plans and provide engaging, hands-on instruction
- Patient, organized, and confident with gentle redirection and attention-support strategies
- Strong communication skills with both students and parents regarding progress and instructional goals
- Creative and engaging teaching style that incorporates movement, visuals, and positive reinforcement
Nice To Haves
- SPED credential and/or special education experience highly preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide individualized instruction in 4th-grade math and reading comprehension
- Strengthen multiplication fact fluency, multi-digit operations, long division readiness, fractions, geometry, and measurement skills
- Support reading comprehension through higher-level questioning, summarization, and critical thinking activities
- Teach problem-solving strategies for multi-step math word problems and mathematical reasoning
- Develop and implement structured lesson plans aligned with California academic standards
- Use hands-on activities, visuals, and interactive teaching methods to maintain engagement and understanding
- Provide gentle redirection and structured routines to support focus and attention during sessions
- Incorporate creative interests such as art and ballet into lessons to increase motivation and participation
- Maintain ongoing communication with the parent regarding student progress, strategies, and session updates
