About The Position

Every child deserves a strong start in life. As an Early Head Start Home Visitor, you are the bridge that connects pregnant women and families with young children (ages 0–3) to the tools, confidence, and community resources they need to thrive. Home Visitors organize, plan and facilitate weekly home visits with families that integrate all Head Start components (areas of health, early childhood education and development, nutrition, family life skills, safety, and mental health). Referring and linking families with other community programs is also an essential component of this position. If you are passionate about early childhood development, equity, and making a direct impact right here in our mountain communities, and are bilingual in Spanish and English, we want to meet you! The EHS program operates as part of Eagle County Department of Human Services (ECDHS). ECDHS comprises the following divisions: Children, Family & Adult Services, Economic Services, and Integrated Support Services, each working together to provide exceptional service to our customers. ECDHS is committed to ensuring all ECDHS clients experience a “no wrong door” approach to service delivery. The Children, Family & Adult Services Division (CFAS) is responsible for administering a range of critical programs including Child Welfare, Adult Protection, Child Maltreatment Prevention Programs and Early Head Start.
