About The Position

Telemundo Atlanta is seeking a dynamic, bilingual, news-driven journalist to produce original Spanish-language content for digital platforms, engage viewers through livestreams, and create compelling segments. The Digital Host/Producer solo-anchors from the OTT/TV studio and produces digital segments from start to finish, while contributing to daily newsroom operations and the station’s multiplatform content strategy. The role includes producing and anchoring daily digital segments or shows for OTT/TV and social platforms in native Spanish; updating web and social content; coordinating livestreams; and reporting, researching, filming, writing, and editing stories for broadcast and online publication. The position also contributes to editorial meetings, covers breaking news, develops sources, and produces enterprise and research-driven stories under tight deadlines. The successful candidate will engage audiences across platforms, apply sound news judgment, and work collaboratively and ethically in a fast-paced newsroom.

Requirements

High proficiency in spoken and written Spanish and English.
At least one year of experience producing digital content.
Ability to shoot, write, and edit original stories for digital platforms.
Familiarity with OTT procedures and operations, including platforms such as Facebook and YouTube.
Strong news judgment, interviewing skills, and on-camera presence.
Ability to work under pressure, meet daily deadlines, and adapt in a high-energy newsroom.
Positive attitude and ability to work as a team player.
Valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

Experience with ENPS, Edius, Canva, and Adobe.
BS/BA in journalism or communications.

Responsibilities

Produce and anchor multiple daily digital segments or shows for OTT/TV and social platforms in native Spanish.
Collaborate with show producers and anchors, including assisting with repurposing news content.
Post and update local stories and content on web and social platforms.
Manage livestream scheduling across digital platforms and implement best practices to grow and engage the audience.
Engage viewers on social media, including maintaining a consistent presence on Facebook Live and Instagram.
Build a broad working knowledge of the viewing area, including key people, places, events, and local personalities.
Research, gather, shoot, write, and edit stories for broadcast and online publication.
Participate in daily editorial meetings and fill in on other newscasts as needed.
Report live during breaking news and develop reliable sources of information.
Pitch and produce enterprise, hard-news, and research-driven stories under tight deadlines.
Apply strong news judgment to story selection and presentation, and write clearly and conversationally in native Spanish.
Conduct interviews and deliver stories confidently on camera.
Maintain professional and ethical conduct, contribute to a collaborative newsroom, and stay current on local and national news.
