About The Position

Environmental and Safety Solutions, Inc. (ESS) is seeking a highly motivated, experienced Construction Safety Trainer to implement and manage health and safety practices in accordance with OSHA regulations and client standards. The role serves as the project’s primary EHS representative in a fast-paced, compliance-driven construction environment and supports the project management team with on-site safety inspections, reporting, and training coordination. The successful candidate is self-directed and detail-oriented, with strong communication and computer skills.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of continuous construction safety experience.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Current First Aid/CPR certification.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and digital safety platforms.
• Ability to work independently and manage site safety with minimal supervision.
• U.S. citizenship required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience training or teaching contractors and subcontractors.
• Prior experience coordinating with subcontractors and site leadership on large-scale builds.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary EHS representative for the project, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and contract requirements.
• Support the project management team with on-site safety inspections, reporting, and training coordination.
• Conduct and document daily job-site safety inspections.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date safety logs, incident reports, and OSHA recordkeeping, including injury and illness logs.
• Interface with regulatory agencies such as OSHA as needed.
• Provide ongoing safety training and toolbox talks to on-site personnel.
• Participate in incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with facility management and subcontractors to ensure alignment with EHS standards.
