About The Position

Del Sol Furniture finances its own customers through an in-house lending company. As a collector, you will work with real customers who have purchased furniture and are seeking to maintain their customer relationship. The primary goal is to find a payment solution that works for both the customer and the company, without damaging the relationship. The company is looking for a bilingual collector who can conduct difficult conversations respectfully, negotiate payment arrangements, and consistently meet performance targets.

Requirements

• Fluent in English and Spanish (required for daily use).
• 1+ year in collections, accounts receivable, loan servicing, or a similar role involving payment conversations.
• A track record of hitting targets.
• Negotiation skills: firm without being aggressive.
• Persistent and resilient with strong documentation habits.
• Comfortable learning new software.

Responsibilities

• Call customers with past-due accounts, in English and Spanish, and work out payment arrangements that stick.
• Follow company policy and all applicable state and federal consumer lending rules.
• Document every conversation and payment agreement accurately in the system.
• Work with credit and customer service teams to resolve account issues before they become delinquent.
• Meet or exceed monthly collection, call volume, and follow-up goals.
• Handle upset customers with composure and professionalism.
