About The Position
As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in improving quality of life and bringing comfort, dignity, and support to those who need it most. This role involves providing personal care support, assisting with mobility and daily living activities, preparing meals, performing light housekeeping, and offering companionship and emotional support to clients in their homes. The position requires a compassionate, patient, and dependable individual with strong communication skills and reliable transportation.
Requirements
- Ability to speak Hindi, Bengali, Marathi, Gujarati, or another language or dialect commonly spoken in India
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Professional or personal experience caring for elderly or disabled individuals preferred
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable personality
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable transportation to and from the client’s home
- Ability to lift, stand, bend, and assist the client as needed, up to 50 pounds
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with Indian culture is preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care support, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene assistance
- Assist the client with mobility, transfers, and daily living activities
- Encourage safe movement and activity in accordance with the established care plan
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding when needed
- Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and other household tasks
- Provide companionship and emotional support to improve quality of life
- Promote a safe, comfortable, and respectful home environment
