About The Position

The Part-Time Bike Shop Technician diagnoses, maintains, and assembles customer and store equipment, which may include bicycles, exercise machines, snowboards, skis, hockey equipment, baseball equipment, golf clubs, racquet sports equipment, archery arrows, paintball markers, and other merchandise. The role includes ordering and following up with vendors for repair parts, safely filling CO2 and compressed air tanks for paintball markers, maintaining detailed equipment records, and assisting with delivery and loading of equipment and merchandise at the store and customer residences. The technician must be able to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals. The schedule is assigned flexibly between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday; varied hours, days, evenings, weekends, and holidays may be included. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, have a clean, valid driver’s license, and be willing to obtain DOT certification and meet Scheels driving standards. Mechanical knowledge is preferred. The role requires a range of physical activities, including sitting, standing, bending, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, talking, and hearing, with or without reasonable accommodation. It is classified as very heavy work, requiring exertion exceeding 100 pounds occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, and 20 pounds constantly. Associates are expected to follow safety procedures and perform duties in a way that minimizes injury risk. Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must have a clean, valid driver’s license.
Must be willing to obtain DOT certification and meet Scheels driving standards.
Must be able to perform the listed physical activities, with or without reasonable accommodation, including very heavy work involving lifting and moving objects.
Must be flexible to work assigned schedules, potentially including varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
