About The Position

We are seeking a hardworking, energetic, and safety-conscious individual to join our Big Bay team in the Site Furnishings department. This position requires someone who can work independently or as part of a team, with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate should be mechanically inclined and capable of reading and interpreting production documents such as blueprints, spec sheets, and production schedules. Proficiency in using hand tools, measuring devices, and machinery is essential.

  • Must be able to stand, walk, lift, bend, squat, twist, kneel, reach, and climb for extended periods.
  • Frequently lift, move, or adjust materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Repetitive hand, wrist, shoulder, and neck motion required.
  • Ability to ascend and descend stairs and ladders safely.
  • Take responsibility for their own safety and the safety of their coworkers.
  • Follow all established safety protocols.
  • Communicate and escalate safety concerns to supervisors immediately.
  • Contribute to a culture of safety through active participation and awareness.

Responsibilities

  • Clean fiberglass molds used for Terra-Form products (waste containers, planters, benches, bollards, etc.) by removing dust and leftover material from previous pours.
  • Apply release oil and install rebar, bolt inserts, and other reinforcements according to product specifications.
  • Assemble mold components manually or with the use of lifting tools (chains, hoists, slings).
  • Secure molds using bolts, clamps, or adjustable vice grips to ensure they are ready for concrete pouring.
  • Operate overhead cranes and mud hoppers to transport and pour concrete into the molds.
  • Use pneumatic vibrators to remove air pockets and compact the mixture for proper curing.
  • Allow products to cure overnight.
  • Carefully disassemble molds by removing bolts and clamps.
  • Use cranes and lifting equipment to remove finished products from molds and place them on pallets for staging and further processing.
  • Patch, grout, and repair any holes or imperfections using specialized concrete mixtures.
  • Perform manual and machine sanding (including orbital sanders) to meet product-specific finishing requirements.
  • Use rags, scrapers, solvents, and cleaners during mold prep.
  • Perform repetitive physical tasks involving the hands, arms, back, and knees.
  • Assemble and disassemble molds using hand tools and lifting equipment.
  • Pour and vibrate concrete using cranes, hoppers, and heavy pneumatic tools.
  • Grout and patch finished products with detailed attention to quality.
