About The Position

Tahoe Donner Association is looking for Fun and Personable Bicycle Attendants to join our Bikeworks Team! The Bike Attendant is responsible for properly sizing and renting adult and children’s bicycles, as well as assisting with bicycle maintenance and repair, equipment and accessory sales, guided rides, special events, races and other activities.

Requirements

Demonstrates excellent communication and “People” skills; Must love dealing with people.
Basic knowledge about bicycles and riding them.
Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
Three to six months of relevant experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of formal training, education and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform all of the duties of the position.

Nice To Haves

Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and First Aid certifications are recommended.

Responsibilities

Provides excellent customer service to members, guests, general public, and employees.
Interprets and enforces all Tahoe Donner rules, regulations and policies as pertaining to facility use; explains rules and regulation to members and guests and answers facility policy questions.
Must demonstrate proficient knowledge about bicycle fit and function.
Properly fit guests on rental equipment, teach them about the various parts of the bike, complete all required paperwork, and inform them about local riding locations and options.
Assist with area set up, races, promotions and special events.
Develop and maintain current knowledge of basic bicycle maintenance and repair techniques.
Assist with guided rides around the local area as needed.
Assists with maintenance and cleanliness of the bicycle program areas.
Operate a POS system.
Balance daily sales to deposit amount.
