As a Security Officer Bicycle Patrol Driver in Cary, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas by vehicle, bike, and on foot, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining visible and approachable. You will support daily operations through strong communication, routine patrols, and customer service. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be able to ride a bike.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and community members by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related practices, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to an educational government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with school personnel and/or public responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings, parking areas, athletic spaces, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and visitor activity in accordance with location procedures, helping to address access issues, direct guests, and report unusual behavior or policy concerns.
  • Support daily operations during arrival, dismissal, after-hours events, and other scheduled activities by remaining visible on site and following post orders, site policies, and Allied Universal standards.
