About The Position

The Business Intelligence (BI) Report Developer & Analyst is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Power BI reporting solutions that support operational, financial, and strategic decision-making. This role partners with business stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze data, develop reports and dashboards, ensure data quality, and provide insights that drive business performance.

Requirements

3 years of experience in Power BI development and business analytics.
2 years of experience developing enterprise reporting solutions.
2 years of experience working directly with business stakeholders.
Proficient in Microsoft Power BI
Proficient in DAX development
Proficient in SQL
Proficient in Data modeling and star schema design
Proficient in Power BI Service administration
Proficient in Microsoft Excel (advanced)
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Minimum typing speed of 50 wpm and ten-key by touch
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Detailed oriented and able to meet deadlines in a fast pace environment
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to analyze and solve problems
Proficiency with working with numerical data
Strong analytical skills

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and scorecards.
Create semantic models and data models using best practices.
Develop DAX measures, calculated columns, and KPIs.
Build and optimize Power Query data transformations.
Develop paginated reports using Power BI Report Builder.
Implement row-level security (RLS) and governance standards.
Optimize report performance and refresh schedules.
Publish and manage content within Power BI Service and workspaces.
Support Power BI deployment pipelines and release management.
Analyze business data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
Develop meaningful KPIs and performance metrics.
Perform root cause analysis and variance analysis.
Translate complex datasets into actionable insights.
Provide recommendations based on analytical findings.
Support ad hoc reporting and executive requests.
Gather and document business requirements.
Facilitate discussions with finance, operations, HR, and other departments.
Translate business needs into reporting solutions.
Present findings and recommendations to leadership teams.
Conduct user acceptance testing and training sessions.
Validate data accuracy and integrity.
Collaborate with data engineering teams on source system enhancements.
Support data governance initiatives.
Maintain report documentation and data dictionaries.
Troubleshoot data and reporting issues.
Recommend new reporting capabilities and visualization techniques.
Support adoption of Microsoft Fabric and advanced analytics initiatives.
Evaluate opportunities for report standardization and automation.
Stay current with SAP, Power BI, Fabric, and Microsoft analytics technologies.
