About The Position

This role is responsible for a variety of human resources functions, including screening and interviewing hourly applicants, extending job offers upon HR Manager approval, enrolling employees in company benefits, and assisting employees with benefit-related inquiries. The position also involves managing accident reports, participating in 8D activities, maintaining the OSHA Log, conducting background and reference checks, and coordinating new hire orientations. Additionally, the role includes posting job advertisements online and in newspapers, managing employee data in the Ultipro System, initiating payroll changes, tracking absenteeism, handling hourly employee insurance responsibilities, monitoring employee evaluations in UltiPro, and entering/tracking training in Plex. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • College degree preferably in human resources or a related field.
  • At least one year of experience in human resources.
  • Computer literate.

Responsibilities

  • Screen hourly applicants and participate in the interviewing process.
  • Extend offers to hourly personnel upon HR Manager approval.
  • Enroll hourly employees in company benefits.
  • Assist employees with benefit questions and problem-solving.
  • Screen accident reports, participate in 8D activities, and maintain the OSHA Log.
  • Conduct background and reference checks.
  • Schedule and coordinate new hire orientation.
  • Conduct new hire orientation segments.
  • Post classifieds on websites and place hiring advertisements.
  • Maintain weekly interaction on the Ultipro System.
  • Place newspaper ads.
  • Coordinate hiring with corporate administrator for web site placement.
  • Initiate payroll and payroll changes (shift changes, terminations, increases, department changes, promotions).
  • Track absenteeism daily using the point system/appropriate software.
  • Manage hourly insurance responsibilities, including open enrollment and resolving issues.
  • Release/Monitor hourly employee evaluations in UltiPro.
  • Enter/Track training in Plex.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
