About The Position

The BI Developer II designs and implements business intelligence solutions that transform data into actionable insights. The role collaborates with stakeholders to define reporting goals, builds scalable dashboards, and deploys data models using modern BI tools and techniques. It also involves mentoring junior team members, optimizing data workflows, and integrating advanced technologies such as cloud platforms and real-time analytics into business processes. The position is located in Tallahassee, Florida.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field and 2 years of related experience; or a master’s degree in computer science or a related field and 1 year of related experience; or, in lieu of education, 6 years of relevant experience.
Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or Oracle BI.
Strong SQL and ETL development skills.
Experience with GIS and geospatial technologies.
Knowledge of OLAP, dimensional modeling, and data warehousing.

GIS and/or transportation industry experience.

Responsibilities

Translate business requirements into technical specifications and BI solutions.
Design and develop dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using modern BI tools.
Build and maintain ETL pipelines and data models for reporting and analytics.
Conduct unit testing and troubleshoot BI solutions for accuracy and performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data sources and systems.
Document technical processes and maintain metadata repositories.
Mentor junior developers and contribute to BI best practices.
Perform other duties as assigned.
