About The Position

This is a Full Time, Nonexempt position. The role involves working with adults in an addiction treatment setting and requires flexibility to adapt to schedule changes and take on responsibilities not explicitly listed, as part of an addiction treatment team. The position requires knowledge of various aspects of addiction, patient confidentiality, and emergency procedures.

Requirements

• AHCA – Level 2 Screening/ Eligibility
• At least 21 years old
• Four years driving experience or more
• Hold a valid CDL license (when/where required)
• No more than one (1) Major Violation within the prior three years
• No more than three (3) Moving Violations within the prior three years
• No more than one (1) at-fault accident within the prior three years
• Graduation from High School or GED
• Current and valid Florida Driver License
• Proficiency in Communication, Observation & Written skills
• Knowledge of State & Federal Statutes Regarding Patient Confidentiality laws
• Knowledge of Drug-Free Workplace Policies
• Knowledge of Workplace Violence
• Knowledge of Corporate Integrity & Ethics
• Knowledge of addictions
• Knowledge of the 12-Step Recovery Program
• Knowledge and competency in problem solving, stress management, ethics and team building
• Knowledge of alcohol and other drugs and their impact on the individual and family
• Knowledge of emergency procedures used in case of alcohol and/or drug overdose
• Knowledge of First Aid and CPR
• Knowledge of Federal, State and Municipal laws and/or regulations that regulate the treatment of alcoholism and drug addiction, including: Confidentiality, Patient Rights, Professional Code of Ethics, Discrimination
• Ability to interact with a multi-disciplinary team to assist in facets of the recovery program relating to physical health.

Nice To Haves

• A minimum of 1-year experience in the treatment industry
• CPR certification and First Aid within 90 days of employment
• Familiar with community resources

Responsibilities

• Interact with a multi-disciplinary team to assist in facets of the recovery program relating to physical health.
• Determine if a medical emergency exists and take appropriate action when necessary.
• Adapt to schedule changes and assume responsibilities not delineated in the job description which are related to work as a member of an addiction treatment team.
