About The Position

The Brunswick School Department is seeking candidates for the BHS Girls Soccer JV Coach position. This role requires a strong understanding of soccer and the ability to work effectively with high school athletes. The coach will be responsible for fostering a positive and meaningful experience for student-athletes, developing sportsmanship, setting high standards, and connecting with the team. The position also involves growing the sport within the community. This information is for ADA compliance and is not an exhaustive list of duties.

Requirements

Current background/fingerprinting certificate through the Maine Dept. of Education.
Exceptional knowledge of the sport of soccer.
Proven ability working with high school athletes.
Demonstrate interest in and ability to grow the sport in our community.
Demonstrate commitment to fostering a positive and meaningful experience for every student-athlete.
Dedicated to developing sportsmanship, setting high standards on and off the field, and connecting with student-athletes.
Must have, or have the ability to attain, MPA Coaching certifications in: Foundations of Coaching, Sudden Cardiac Arrest, Concussion, Heat Acclimatization, Protection from Abuse, Student Health/Suicide Prevention, Implicit Bias and Bullying, Hazing and Inappropriate behavior.
Must have, or have the ability to attain, current First Aid and CPR/AED certification.
