About The Position

The Behavioral Health Assessment Team (BHAT) will provide psychiatric evaluation and support services for medical/surgical, intensive care, and emergency department patients within the Kettering Health Network. This team will assess patients and facilitate their transfer to the most appropriate location after their medical condition is stabilized. The BHAT team also coordinates all psychiatric consultation services across hospital sites and provides tele-assessment services Network-Wide.

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor Degree in Social Work or related field.
• Demonstrate licensure as a PC, PCC, LSW, or LISW.
• 1-2 years of experience.

Nice To Haves

• Masters Degree preferred.
• Minimum of one year of psychiatric hospital inpatient social work experience.
• Ability to exercise good clinical judgment in assessing patient's mental status and ongoing inpatient programming needs.
• Effective interpersonal skills (written and verbal).
• Ability to plan, communicate and execute work efficiently.
