About The Position

The Crisis Clinician position is part of a team of dedicated clinicians and caseworkers that provide crisis response services to individuals experiencing a behavioral health crisis or who may be at risk of psychiatric hospitalization. Crisis clinicians should have demonstrated skills in assessing both mental health and substance abuse concerns. Crisis clinicians should have the ability to conduct mental health investigations, maintain professional relationship with community partners, complete all required documentation regarding client services, and develop and maintain knowledge of local and regional resources. The position is directly supervised by the Clinical Supervisor.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in behavioral health discipline
  • Pursue and maintain licensure and addictions certification as required by Tillamook Family Counseling Center
  • Complete State Investigator Civil Commitment Training
  • Clinical experience with a community behavioral health agency setting
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Time Management skills
  • Computer skills
  • The ability to work independently or with a team.
  • The ability to think outside of the normal to see alternative solutions, and a broader view the situation.

  • Licensed professional preferred – LPC, LCSW, LMFT
  • Bilingual – Spanish

Responsibilities

  • Serve on agency crisis team providing mental health crisis screening and intervention. This includes conducting Mental Health Investigations, as assigned, and appearing in court as needed.
  • Complete all required documentation regarding client services, progress, and concerns, including crisis screening forms, as needed, CPMS, etc. in a professional and timely manner.
  • Complete and provide reports to referring agencies of services provided to individuals who were referred by them in accordance with professional agreements and maintaining client confidentiality, as required by law.
  • Maintain professional relationships with community partner agencies, coordinating and consulting regarding client needs and services, including attending monthly meetings with partner agencies, as assigned.
  • Attend all supervision appointments and agency meetings as scheduled.
  • Develop and maintain current, reasonable knowledge of local and regional resources.
  • The Crisis Team also works with Aid and Assist and other Specialty court teams to help with case management and stabilization when needed.
  • Provides short term (up to eight weeks) stabilization needs for youth and families that are in or coming out of crisis.
