About The Position

Responsible for the daily activities of beverage department personnel. Performs special services as required. Partners with peers to promote effective communication, teamwork, and the core value of ilani. Promotes superior guest service. Maintains, and perpetuates a positive organizational culture according to the principles of the Spirit of Tâlícn and the Core Values of ilani. Facilitates all introductory training and mentorship to new hires. Communicates and inspects all policies and standards for consistency of service. Creates and manages all schedules and supervises staff ranging from 8 to 34 or more daily by shift depending on level of business. Directs the work of Leads and Trainer daily to assist with service to guests. Ensures Alcohol service guidelines are followed, including decisions on continuing the service of alcohol to guests. Maintains Inventory and Asset Management of all Beverage products. Conduct probationary and annual evaluations of hourly team members as instructed Creates Special Events schedules for Bartenders, Servers, Bar Backs. Recommends hiring as well as termination decisions in conjunction with disciplinary process; with recommendations to be given particular weight. Must possess excellent inter-personal skills with an ability to foster a supportive and enabling team environment. Coaches and Counsels team members as required. Attends monthly planning meetings as required. Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information. Other duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma / GED; Recognized Equivalent of a High School Diploma (RED) or Foreign High School Diploma (FHD).
  • Two (2) years alcohol beverage server or bartender experience in a high-volume, preferably casino floor environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to foster a supportive and enabling team environment.
  • Ability to work various shifts and flexible hours.
  • Excellent communications skills.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs, bend, reach and stand for 8 hours.
  • Willingness to work in a smoking environment.
  • Willingness to adhere to company health and safety measures.
