About The Position

The Beverage Supervisor assists the Beverage Manager with overseeing all aspects of beverage service within the casino, including team management, inventory control, and Guest service, ensuring efficient and profitable operations on assigned shift. They are responsible for creating and maintaining a positive and engaging atmosphere for Guests, while also adhering to responsible alcohol service standards. A key aspect is fostering a positive and productive work environment through coaching, training, and performance management. Responsibilities are performed in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures. This position will report directly to the Beverage Manager.

Requirements

  • Comprehensive beverage knowledge with some culinary background or experience preferred.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team, delegate tasks effectively, and resolve conflicts.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills for interacting with Team Members, Guests, and vendors.
  • Knowledge of beverage service, inventory management and Guest service principles.
  • Ability to manage a team, delegate tasks, and provide feedback.
  • Ability to identify and resolve operational issues, handle Guest complaints, and make sound business decisions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to handle Guest complaints, resolve issues and make strong decisions under pressure.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations, including Responsible Beverage Service (RBS), gaming regulations and company policies.
  • Passion for Guest service and creating a positive Guest experience.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of supervisor or above experience in a food and beverage Guest facing environment required.
  • Beverage experience in a casino environment preferred.
  • Current Food Handler Manager certification and RBS certificate required or ability to acquire one (employer will provide upon hire).
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Commission, which includes passing a background investigation.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

  • Practicing, supporting, and promoting North Fork Mono Casino's culture and always demonstrating exemplary Service Standards.
  • Supervising and directing the beverage team on assigned shift which includes hiring, training, evaluating, disciplining and scheduling of bartenders, beverage servers and bar porters.
  • Ordering, receiving, and managing beverage inventory, including stock control and waste reduction.
  • Enforcing and ensuring that safety procedures and policies are being followed.
  • Building a positive and supportive team environment by providing coaching and feedback, recognizing achievements, and fostering a sense of teamwork.
  • Ensuring Guest satisfaction through friendly and professional service, addressing complaints, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Building relationships with players and Guests, understanding their needs and providing excellent Guest service.
  • Overseeing daily operations of all beverage outlets on assigned shifts, including casino bars, lounges, and casino floor service.
  • Assisting the Beverage Manager with managing the beverage budget, analyzing financial reports, and implementing strategies to increase revenue, profitability, and Guest satisfaction.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, including responsible beverage service, gaming regulations and company policies.
  • Assisting in the execution of promotions, special events and theme nights.
  • Assisting with the implementation and facilitating team training programs to ensure high-quality service and product knowledge.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned.
