About The Position

The Beverage Supervisor will be responsible for maintaining and strictly abiding by state sanitation/health regulations and hotel requirements. This role requires availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts. The supervisor must maintain complete knowledge of all menu items, prices, liquor brands, beers, and non-alcoholic selections. They will establish, maintain, and train standards and procedures for operations and safe working conditions in the department. Additionally, the supervisor will assist with implementing short- and long-range financial objectives for the Food and Beverage Department, assist with training employees, handle guest complaints ensuring guest satisfaction, and perform other duties as assigned. This position assists with the supervision and operation of the food and beverage service outlets, catering services, and kitchen, and maintains liaison with the sales department to ensure maximum profitability. Ensures all policies and procedures are enforced and adhered to. Directs, implements, and maintains a service and management philosophy which serves as a guide to respective staff.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years’ experience in a similar position
  • Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding.
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Food handling certificate and/or alcohol awareness training.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, such as B.E.O.'s, safety rules, procedure manuals.

Nice To Haves

  • previous supervisory experience preferred
  • college degree in hospitality management, business, and/or culinary preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
  • Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for restaurant clientele.
