About The Position

This is a hands-on role for someone who loves keeping things organized, solving problems, collaborating across teams, and making sure the details come together. You’ll also have the opportunity to build broad experience across both Beer and Beverage while taking ownership of key beer-specific programs. As our Beverage Supervisor, you’ll help bring BJ’s Beer and Beverage programs to life across our restaurants. Working closely with the Beverage Manager, you’ll support everything from distribution and restaurant needs to beer programs, tastings, events, competitive research, and new beverage initiatives.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hospitality experience; restaurant and/or beverage experience preferred.
• General knowledge of beer, wine and liquor.
• Strong organizational and project coordination skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and moving pieces in a fast-paced environment.
• A proactive, solutions-oriented approach and willingness to jump in wherever needed.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to work effectively across restaurant teams, internal departments, distributors, suppliers, and external partners.
• Comfort working in a role that combines administrative and project responsibilities with hands-on operational support.
• Curiosity about beer, beverage trends, restaurants, and the broader hospitality industry.
• Ability to research information, maintain accurate records, identify issues, and follow through to resolution.
• A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for learning and growing across both Beer and Beverage programs.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day Beer and Beverage distribution needs, including product availability, out-of-stocks, restaurant ordering questions, and distributor follow-up.
• Maintain accurate distribution, supplier, ordering, and cost information across the BJ’s restaurant system.
• Coordinate recurring product cost updates with distributor and supplier partners.
• Support new item setup, pricing, and other required POS information.
• Manage inventory and shipment of BJ’s tap handles and other beer-related restaurant supplies.
• Research emerging beer trends, breweries, local and regional markets, and guest beer performance to help identify new opportunities.
• Coordinate Beer Dinners from planning through execution, partnering with Culinary, restaurant teams, breweries, and other partners.
• Support BJ’s participation in beer events, competitions, and other industry programs.
• Manage the Beer Complaint Line, helping restaurants resolve concerns while identifying trends that should be elevated to Brewery leadership.
• Compile Beer Club member feedback for new releases.
• Support beer licensing, brand registrations, label approvals, and other regulatory needs as needed.
• Partner with the Beverage Manager to coordinate projects, tests, launches, and other Beer and Beverage initiatives.
• Maintain project trackers, timelines, status documents, and follow-up to keep priorities moving forward.
• Build and maintain a competitive beverage research library, tracking menus, pricing, product photos, and changes across the industry.
• Coordinate samples and products needed for innovation, tastings, and beverage development.
• Audit Beer and Beverage menus and related materials for accuracy and coordinate updates when needed.
• Coordinate products, supplies, setup, and logistics for internal tastings, showcases, and beverage events.
• Support Beverage photo and video shoots by coordinating recipes, products, samples, and materials.
• Assist with preparing and serving beverages during internal tastings, meetings, and events, ensuring recipes and presentations are executed accurately.
• Maintain the office bar, beverage storage areas, samples, supplies, and product inventory.
• Coordinate blind taste panels for BJ’s beers, R&D products, and guest beer samples.
