About The Position

The Beverage Steward helps customers explore wine and beer by assisting with product selection, answering questions, sharing product information, and offering recommendations or food and occasion pairings. The role provides a welcoming and informative shopping experience.

The Beverage Steward maintains department conditions by stocking, rotating, and organizing products, keeping displays full and visually consistent, monitoring inventory, completing ordering tasks, and following merchandising plans and standards. The position operates in a fast-paced retail environment and may involve coordinating with vendors and preparing or executing tastings, promotions, and sampling activities.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Availability to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts.
• Comply with all alcohol sales regulations and company policies.
• Ability to communicate clearly with customers and provide accurate product information.
• Basic understanding of wine and beer categories and interest in learning about product characteristics and pairings.
• Ability to communicate product details, pricing, and promotional information clearly.
• Attention to accuracy in pricing, labeling, product rotation, and presentation standards.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage workflow, and maintain an orderly work area.
• Ability to stock and rotate products and maintain inventory levels to meet demand.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift and move products up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and remain active throughout the shift.

• Prepare and execute tasting events, promotions, and sampling activities.
• Follow alcohol sales regulations and company policies.
