About The Position

As a Beverage Steward, you help customers explore wines and beers by providing product information, recommendations, and pairing suggestions in a welcoming shopping environment. You assist with product selection and answer customer questions, helping shoppers make confident choices for meals and occasions.

You maintain department conditions by stocking, rotating, and organizing products, keeping displays full and visually consistent, monitoring inventory, completing ordering tasks, and following merchandising plans and standards. The role is in a fast-paced retail environment where consistency, organization, and product awareness support department performance.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Availability to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts.
• Ability to communicate clearly with customers and provide accurate product information.
• Basic understanding of wine and beer categories, with interest in learning product characteristics and pairings.
• Ability to convey product details, pricing, and promotional information clearly.
• Attention to detail in pricing, labeling, rotation, and presentation.
• Organization and time-management skills to prioritize tasks, manage workflow, and maintain an orderly work area.
• Ability to stock, rotate, and maintain inventory levels to meet demand.
• Ability to communicate with vendors regarding ordering, product availability, and merchandising activities.
• Ability to prepare and execute tasting events, promotions, and sampling activities.
• Adaptability to changing priorities and workload in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift and move products up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and remain active throughout the shift.
• Compliance with all alcohol sales regulations and company policies.
