About The Position

The Cocktail Waitress is responsible for taking orders and serving food and beverages to patrons on the casino floor, maintaining their own bank and cashing out each transaction on the floor. This role requires excellent customer service, fast, efficient, and courteous service, and the ability to handle payments and serve patrons. The Beverage Server will also prepare drinks, recommend menu items, and maintain cleanliness of service areas. Additionally, the role involves assisting co-workers and management as needed to ensure smooth department operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. or server and cash handling experience required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age per gaming regulations.
  • Required to obtain and maintain ABLE licensing.
  • Required to obtain and maintain a Seneca Cayuga tribal gaming license and a state issued I.D.
  • All applicants must successfully pass a preemployment drug screening prior to beginning employment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to serve customers quickly and efficiently
  • Ability multitask and work as part of the team.
  • Ability to communicate clearly’ ability to read, comprehend and interpret written and oral instructions.
  • Ability yo interact effectively with the public and Team Members.
  • Ability count back change accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Performs excellent customer service at all times.
  • Provides fast, efficient, and courteous service.
  • Collects payments from customers.
  • Takes orders from patrons for food or beverages.
  • Checks patrons’ ID to ensure that they meet minimum age requirements for alcohol consumption.
  • Recognizes when a customer has had enough to drink.
  • Checks with customers to ensure that they are enjoying themselves corrects any problems.
  • Serves food or beverages to patrons.
  • Prepares hot and cold drinks for patrons or orders alcoholic beverages from bar.
  • Recommends certain dishes & explains how various items on the menu are prepared.
  • Maintains a bank and cashes out each transaction on the floor.
  • Stocks service areas with supplies and keeps areas clean.
  • Answers patron’s questions, explains menu items and specials.
  • Fills in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the department by assisting co-workers, supervisor, or manager as requested.
