About The Position

This role involves providing beverage service to guests of the MCR, including collecting money, serving food for special events, and managing beverage station supplies. The server will compute bills, accept payments, and maintain a neat and orderly stock of supplies. A key aspect of the job is providing excellent guest service, which includes monitoring floor areas for cleanliness (ashtrays, glasses, tables) in lounge, bar, and casino floor areas. The position may also involve training new beverage servers and requisitioning bar supplies. The server is responsible for reporting tips daily and performing other duties as assigned by the F&B Supervisor.

Requirements

  • Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • Pleasing personality and the ability to interact with the public in a congenial manner.
  • Ability to work unusual hours, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be of good integrity, honest and trustworthy.
  • Required to meet minimum criminal background requirements.
  • Menominee Bartender’s License must be obtained within the first 45 days of employment.
  • Ability to read and understand documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write incident reports and general correspondence.
  • Ability to communicate with Guests in a professional, pleasant, and courteous manner.
  • General math skills to tally a bill and perform money exchanges for guests and bartender.
  • Ability to define problems, establish facts, and report problems to supervisor.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Responsible to maintain bartender’s license.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills required.
  • Knowledge of alcoholic beverages and drinks.
  • An applicant who has been previously employed by the MCR/TC shall successfully pass a review of previous work history including attendance, and past employment history before being eligible for hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Preference given to qualified Menominee or other Native American applicants.
  • Preference: Six months experience as a cocktail server or Food & Beverage Server.
  • Preference: Six months of previous Guest Service Experience.
  • Preference: Knowledge of Point-of-Sale system.

Responsibilities

  • Provide beverage service as needed to guests of the MCR.
  • Collect money and serve food in accordance with special events for beverage service and/or concessions.
  • Keep supplies on hand for the beverage stations.
  • Compute bill and accept payment for beverages served to Guests.
  • Keep station stocked, ensure storage areas are neat, orderly, clean and have extra supplies on hand according to maximum levels prescribed.
  • Responsible for excellent Guest Service.
  • Monitor floor areas to ensure cleaning of ashtrays, empty glasses, wiping down tables in the Lounge/Bar areas and Casino Floor.
  • Assist in training new workers as Beverage Servers on an as needed basis.
  • Requisite bar supplies in accordance with good judgment.
  • Attend mandatory training when scheduled.
  • Report tips daily in accordance with the Food & Beverage handbook and Federal requirements.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the F&B Supervisor.
