About The Position

This role involves taking drink orders, communicating with the bartender, assisting in drink preparation, and presenting drinks to guests. The Beverage Server will also assist supervisors in the operation of VIP Rooms, ensure efficient labor usage, and handle service equipment safely. Responsibilities include managing money according to procedure, addressing guest complaints to ensure satisfaction, monitoring guest alcohol consumption, and acting as an ambassador of goodwill. The server will promote casino events, work collaboratively with other beverage staff and supervisors, provide personalized service, and take food orders when working in the pub and poker room. Exceptional customer service, a pleasant and professional demeanor, and maintaining a professional work environment are essential. The role requires meeting attendance guidelines, adhering to policies, and attending necessary training meetings. Duties may be adjusted as needed, and hours are determined by a 24-hour schedule.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age
• Excellent customer service/communication skills
• Count money and change correctly
• Know or is able to learn tray service, cocktail ingredients
• Available to work required schedule which may include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
• Must present a well-groomed and professional appearance.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Must be able to respond to visual and oral cues.
• Ability to write routine correspondence and to speak effectively to the public, employees and customers.
• Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees.
• Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
• Must be able to be approved for and maintain a valid gaming license.
• Work nights, weekends and holidays as required.
• Employment is contingent upon a favorable outcome of a background investigation and drug screening

Responsibilities

• Takes drink orders, communicates with bartender, assists in the preparation of drinks and presents drinks to guests
• Assist all Supervisors in providing a successful operation of VIP Rooms
• Ensures the minimum level of labor is used to perform the required level of service
• Ensures all service equipment is handled safely and with reasonable care, reporting mechanical problems to proper department
• Handles money according to procedure
• Acts immediately on any guest complaint to ensure corrections are made and the 100% Satisfaction Guarantee invocations are made
• Monitors guest consumption of alcohol and intervenes as needed according to guidelines
• Serves as ambassador of goodwill while working and at customer and public relations functions; appears in publicity photos
• Promotes casino events and programs
• Works closely with others, especially beverage servers, bartenders, bar helpers, beverage supervisor, and slots supervisor
• Provides personalized service and uses guest name
• Takes food orders when working in the pub & poker room and delivers to guests
• Provides exceptional customer service to all patrons and communicates in a pleasant, friendly, and professional manner at all times. Maintains a professional work environment with supervisors and staff.
• Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
• Attends all necessary training meetings.
• Assist in other projects, as directed.
