About The Position

The Beverage Route Delivery Driver plays a critical role in ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of beverage products to a variety of retail and commercial customers across assigned routes. This position requires managing the transportation and unloading of beverages while maintaining product integrity and adhering to safety standards. The driver acts as a representative of the company, providing excellent customer service and building positive relationships with clients. Attention to detail is essential to verify orders, handle payments or paperwork, and report any discrepancies or issues encountered during deliveries. Ultimately, this role supports the company’s supply chain efficiency and customer satisfaction by ensuring products are delivered safely, on schedule, and in excellent condition.

Requirements

• Valid Class A-CDL driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy beverage cases repeatedly throughout the workday.
• Basic math skills to handle transactions and verify orders.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet delivery schedules.
• Ability to arrive and begin shift that starts very early in the morning. i.e. 3:00 AM - 4:00 AM
• Strong organizational skills daily to load and unload products efficiently and ensure accurate deliveries.
• Effective communication skills are essential for interacting with customers and resolving any delivery issues professionally.
• Physical stamina and strength are required to handle heavy beverage cases safely throughout the route.
• Navigational skills, including the use of GPS technology, help optimize delivery routes and ensure timely arrivals.
• Attention to detail is critical for verifying orders, managing paperwork, and maintaining compliance with safety and company policies.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience as a delivery driver, preferably in beverage or food distribution.
• Familiarity with route navigation technology or GPS devices.
• Customer service experience in a retail or delivery environment.
• Knowledge of safety regulations related to commercial vehicle operation.
• Ability to operate a pallet jack.

Responsibilities

• Drive assigned routes to deliver beverages to retail stores, restaurants, and other customers within scheduled timeframes.
• Verify delivery orders, obtain customer signatures, and handle payment transactions or paperwork as required.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, returns, and inventory adjustments.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
• Provide courteous and professional customer service, addressing any questions or concerns during deliveries.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies while operating the delivery vehicle.
