About The Position

The Beverage Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, modifying, troubleshooting, repairing, overhauling, rebuilding, and dismantling all types of complex manufacturing and support equipment to insure we are able to safely and efficiently produce quality product for consumer consumption. The duties involve work of a varied nature with minimal supervision, to maintain physical assets in a condition desired by management and in compliance with industry standards and government regulations. Duties also include working within work teams with lean and autonomous maintenance methodologies fully utilized.

Requirements

  • Associates degree in mechanical, electrical engineering and or equivalent experience required.
  • 5 Years’ experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical and electrical/controls/PLC systems (prefer Automation Direct, Allen-Bradley systems experience including, but not limited to Siemens the Rockwell FactoryTalk suite of software, Logix platform, and proficient understanding of Allen-Bradley industrial networks, including but not limited to Device net).
  • Experience with variable speed and servo drive programming and function (prefer Allen-Bradley).
  • Possess a good understanding of computer and industrial networks.
  • Ability to read, understands, and follow complex instructions, prints, and schematics.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to positively cooperate and communicate with coworkers, contractors, and management.
  • Ability to obtain operator certification on designated equipment.
  • Able to work on ladders and lifts (as applicable and recommended) up to heights of 40 feet.
  • Ability to wear OSHA-approved personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to bend, lift and stretch on a regular basis.
  • Ability to follow BCG policies and procedures.
  • Ability to consistently interact with others in a cooperative, respectful, and professional way.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose trouble, plan, and perform all operations necessary to install, modify, troubleshoot, repair, overhaul, rebuild, and dismantle various types of complex manufacturing and support equipment—with special focus on advanced troubleshooting on control systems, servo drives, motors, HMIs, and PLCs on complex high speed packaging lines.
  • Perform and train production on preventive maintenance and other proactive activities to monitor and maintain equipment condition.
  • Coordinate with other technicians, production personnel, engineering, management, and other stakeholders to communicate and plan maintenance activities.
  • Coordinate with equipment/service vendors for technical assistance.
  • Plan and organize work activities.
  • Perform predictive maintenance tasks to properly plan routine activities
  • Utilize lean manufacturing problem solving processes to lead multi-functional teams to problem resolution and sustained improvements
  • Maintain safe, clean, and well-organized work areas.
  • Assist other maintenance technicians as priorities dictate, time allows, or directed.
  • Identify opportunities for maintenance or process improvement and drive recommendations to implementation or resolution.
  • Complete or assist with special projects as directed.
  • Perform other duties as directed by management.
  • Demonstrates commitment to and follows all company policies, standards and procedures, regarding employment and workplace behavior, food safety (GMPs), ergonomic standards and safety requirements from OSHA, BCG and the location as well all local, state and federal regulations/laws which includes the ability to ensure compliance with safety rules and regulations regarding lockout/tag out, hot work, fall protection, arc flash, confined space, etc.
