About The Position

Provide quality, value-added professional service in the Golf department to exceed facility standards for food and beverage service, guest helpfulness, and guest friendliness.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 6 months serving experience.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly with guests, customers, supervisors and fellow employees.
  • Must be able to calculate amounts and apply basic addition, subtraction division and multiplication.
  • Must be able to analyze routine data to make appropriate judgments regarding beverage cart food & beverage service processes.
  • BASSET certification
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Must be able to lift/push/pull 50 pounds.
  • Required to walk, stand, bend, crouch, kneel, and reach.
  • Requires ability to reach, grasp and feel.

Nice To Haves

  • Excellent knowledge of golf and golf course etiquette

Responsibilities

  • Deliver excellent, prompt and courteous food & beverage service.
  • Must drive cart safely at all times (must have valid driver’s license)
  • Must demonstrate excellent knowledge of golf and golf course etiquette
  • Drive cart to all members/guests on the course adhering to proper etiquette at all times
  • Maintain fully stock cart to ensure a variety of items. Make every effort to accommodate guest requests on the beverage carts
  • Answer phones before third ring and use proper etiquette.
  • Follow and enforce Alcohol Service Policy. Review policy in detail and report any issues such as individuals that have had too much to drink, or brought their own alcohol immediately
  • Establish a regular route leading from the front nine to the back nine as golfers progress on the course
  • Maintain consistent times between visits and always avoid lapses in service
  • Always advise guests in advance if you are switching shifts or leaving for the day
  • Do not drive the cart across fairways
  • Never interfere with the golfers game
  • Stay on the cart “only” paths
  • Stop cart when a golfer is ready to swing, putt or tee off (noise distracts a golfers concentration)
  • Gas up cart regularly
  • Stock cart with all necessary products as indicated on the requisition forms. Restock cart as needed throughout the day
  • Knowledge of cash handling procedures
  • Collect all money and account for it correctly
  • Complete and submit accurate tip records
  • Empty cart with requisition forms
  • Clean and scrub cart daily
  • Other contributions to team as necessary
