Qualifications ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Coordinate the assessment and delivery of grief counseling needs and services (one- on-one, groups, and ongoing follow-up) to ensure timely and appropriate services are provided to family/caregivers Plan for Bereavement Program development, expansion and refinement through annual evaluation of services Provide bereavement support to hospice personnel coping with work related grief through one-on-one counseling, supervision of interns providing one-on-one counseling, and referral to community resources Provide bereavement information and referral services to callers from the community Expand and maintain community resource list, as needed Assist as needed in evaluating and planning services to meet hospice personnel support needs (i.e., yearly retreats, weekly support groups) Function independently but seeks and accepts guidance from other members of the interdisciplinary group, or from members of the community Participate in hospice activities such as in-service education, hospice personnel meetings and relevant committees Advance professional knowledge and skills WORK ENVIRONMENT: Must comply with company policies, procedures and processes in addition to Hospice and Homecare rules and regulations Must comply with harassment and discrimination policies Must foster good working relationships Must be dependable and flexible in work schedule Must be a licensed driver with licensed automobile that is insured in accordance with organization/state requirements and is in good working order Must be willing to submit to a criminal background check as well as a drug/alcohol screening upon hire and periodically thereafter PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT: May have to travel in inclement weather May be required to stand and sit for long periods Must be able to hear and see with or without aid Must be able to read and follow instructions as required Join a Team that embraces the reverence of life! Requirements

  • Must be a licensed driver with licensed automobile that is insured in accordance with organization/state requirements and is in good working order
  • Must be willing to submit to a criminal background check as well as a drug/alcohol screening upon hire and periodically thereafter
