About The Position

Under routine supervision, this position administers assigned benefits programs and services. This role manages end-to-end processing of benefits tasks, communicating with employees and vendors, and ensuring adherence to policies. The incumbent provides support for routed situations, contributes to employee education on benefits, and assists in implementing new and/or enhanced programs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED with at least 1 year of Benefits-Administration, HR Administration, or related experience, and/or military equivalent
  • Experience using computers and phones in a professional/office setting, including Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, etc.)
  • Ability to act professionally, maintaining composure and confidentiality
  • Ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas through various mediums
  • Ability to meet or exceed customer needs and expectations to provide excellent service
  • Ability to process information with high levels of accuracy
  • Ability to capture and document relevant business information in an auditable, organized, and easily retrievable manner
  • Ability to protect sensitive data to ensure privacy during the process of storage and communication

Responsibilities

  • Execute end-to-end processing of benefits-related activities from initial filings to application of programs; monitor notices, verify information exchanges with vendors, reconcile documentation discrepancies, manage records across internal and external systems, and facilitate communications with stakeholders on outcomes
  • Communicate with employees and benefits vendors, ensuring prompt resolution of benefit claims filings, issues, corrections, and escalations
  • Track case developments and counsel applicable parties on updates, supporting consistency between regulatory requirements, company policies, and employee support standards
  • Provide support for routed benefits-related inquiries, applying policy knowledge to clarify requirements and advise on specialized cases
  • Develop a working knowledge of benefit plan documents to provide support as it pertains to eligibility, resolution of claims, and other practical benefit applications
  • Process benefits-related payroll and reconciliations; coordinate cross-functionally to resolve discrepancies, maintain accuracy across systems, and facilitate seamless workflows
  • Support delivery of employee orientation training on benefits policies and procedures, covering topics including leave policies, health and life insurance programs, flexible spending accounts, and retirement benefits
  • Compile benefits data for human resources, financial, and/or other reporting requests
  • Support the implementation of new and/or enhanced benefits programs; maintain awareness of updates, training on system changes and program requirements to facilitate a streamlined rollout
