About The Position

CEHAS Plan Administrators, LLC is seeking a Benefits Implementation Specialist to join their Plan Operations team. This is a fully remote, full-time, W2 position based in the U.S. The role is crucial for the company's success as implementation is where client relationships are established. The specialist will be responsible for onboarding new clients from the executed agreement through their first successful payroll, ensuring the plan is built correctly, coordinating various teams, and serving as a reliable point of contact for brokers, employers, and plan sponsors. This is not an entry-level position, requiring prior experience with self-funded benefits.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience at a TPA, benefits brokerage, carrier, or self-funded plan administrator.
  • Working knowledge of self-funded benefits, Section 125, SPDs, and eligibility/834 files.
  • Experience as the primary contact for brokers, employer groups, or plan sponsors.
  • A track record of identifying plan-setup details that others miss.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with comfort guiding clients through a process.
  • Reliable high-speed internet and a private workspace during business hours.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Own the onboarding process from executed agreement through the first successful payroll.
  • Serve as the primary contact for brokers, employers, and plan sponsors, setting expectations, providing updates, and answering questions.
  • Configure plan design, eligibility, and Section 125 provisions in company systems.
  • Verify details, including 834 eligibility files.
  • Coordinate with Payroll, Finance, and IT teams for seamless setup.
  • Maintain clear notes and status updates on all implementations.
  • Ensure strict confidentiality of protected health and payroll information.
  • Provide support after go-live until the client group operates independently.
