About The Position

The Benefits Enrollment Counselor is a key member of the Enrollment Success Team, responsible for guiding employees through the benefits enrollment process with expertise, empathy, and professionalism. This role serves as a trusted resource, educating employees on available benefit options and ensuring they can make informed enrollment decisions. The Benefits Enrollment Counselor actively manages and completes benefit enrollments while delivering exceptional service through phone-based interactions and virtual presentations. Working in a fast-paced environment, this individual provides clear communication, resolves employee inquiries, and ensures a seamless enrollment experience. The role requires a strong commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, and customer-focused support throughout the employee benefits journey. Ability to work 9:00am-6pm EST is required for this role.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in benefits, insurance, or call center environment
  • Strong customer service experience in a fast-paced call center or high-volume support environment.
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to educate, influence, and engage diverse audiences.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong active listening abilities and a customer-focused approach to resolving inquiries.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and benefits enrollment platforms, such as Selerix, Employee Navigator, and ADP.
  • Strong commitment to maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and data security while handling sensitive employee information.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while adapting to change, learning quickly, and maintaining accuracy and accountability.
  • Active Life and Health Insurance License required. Ongoing compliance with continuing education requirements in applicable states required.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates degree or higher preferred.
  • Experience with benefits enrollment, insurance, or employee benefits administration preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Guide employees through core and voluntary benefits enrollment, providing education, support, and enrollment assistance via inbound, outbound, and scheduled calls.
  • Accurately process and complete employee benefit enrollments while maintaining compliance with HIPAA and company confidentiality standards.
  • Educate employees on available benefit options through one-on-one consultations and client-facing webinar presentations.
  • Respond to employee questions with professionalism and empathy, ensuring a positive experience and clear understanding of next steps.
  • Collaborate with team members and participate in ongoing training to maintain product knowledge, enhance customer engagement, and support successful enrollment outcomes.
