About The Position

Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA) is seeking a Benefits Analyst to join their Employee Health & Benefits team. This role involves obtaining and analyzing group benefit program proposals for clients and prospects, analyzing bids for group health and welfare coverage, providing benchmarking research and analysis, and developing detailed client reports. The Benefits Analyst will perform substantial financial analysis for an average of 8-12 clients, handling moderate to high complexity cases with a high degree of accuracy. This position requires approximately 90% of time to be spent in Excel.

Requirements

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and writing skills.
• Able to follow directions, be detailed, organized and resourceful.
• Ability to work under extreme pressure (tight deadlines & juggling many projects).
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in finance, mathematics or other related area preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in the healthcare benefits industry working for a group, insurance carrier, broker or general agency preferred.
• Knowledge of group insurance (medical, dental, vision & life and disability products) preferred.

Responsibilities
