About The Position

Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, one of the world’s leading global law firms with offices in strategic hubs of commerce, law, and government across North America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, is seeking to hire a Benefits Analyst reporting to the Benefits Manager. This position will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Firm’s group benefits programs (group health, dental, vision, life insurance, travel and accident plan, health and flexible spending plans) and is a key member of the benefits team and the main point of contact for the firm’s attorneys and professional staff in all benefit related matters. The Benefits Analyst provides personal and exceptional customer service, investigates new benefits programs, improves processes related to existing programs, and proactively addresses open issues and manages the day to day relationship with the third-party administrator and service providers. Morgan Lewis recognizes the value of supporting flexible work arrangements. This position is based in our Philadelphia office and follows a hybrid work model.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Two to three years of experience in Benefits Administration or Human Resources preferred.
  • Experience working with third-party benefits administration systems.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to take initiative.
  • Strong project management, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to change, prioritize work, and manage competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business and professional publications; prepare business correspondence, proposals, and reports; effectively present information to employees and other stakeholders; and respond to questions from employees, managers, clients, and vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Provides personal concierge service to attorneys and staff as main point of contact on H&W benefits issues.
  • Provides attorneys and staff with high-level information on retirement benefits and engages Retirement team, as needed.
  • Participates in the day-to-day operations of benefits administration function through the benefits portal, including using critical thinking and problem skills to analyze and resolve open issues with service providers.
  • Provides Tier 3 support in an outsourced model while actively collaborating with the benefit service center to resolve issues and implement best practices.
  • Ensure attorneys and professional staff have seamless onboarding and retirement.
  • Would be expected to lead retirement meetings.
  • Coordinates with team members and service providers to address issues related to data feeds.
  • Documents and maintain process and procedure documents.
  • Supports the Benefits Manager as needed and is able to assist in the handling of Partner benefits.
  • Assists management in benefits plans renewal process.
  • Runs reports and completes audits in order to support and ensure data integrity.
  • Develop communication tools to enhance understanding of the firm’s benefits package.
  • Develops, drafts, manages benefit communications as well as communications calendar.
  • Update the SPD and other plan documents as needed.
  • Leads benefit-related projects as needed.
  • Leads Open Enrollment planning.
  • Provides support for Total Rewards leadership as needed and other duties as assigned.
