About The Position

In this role, you will support the administration of a broad portfolio of health and welfare and retirement benefit programs. You will help ensure the accuracy and integrity of benefit plan operations, assist with interpreting federal and state regulations, and support ongoing compliance activities. You will respond to employee benefit inquiries, investigating routine to more complex issues as appropriate, and collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to support effective benefit delivery. Through strong analytical skills and attention to detail, you will contribute to process improvements, reporting, and initiatives that strengthen the organization’s benefits function.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated, hands-on experience in administering 401(k) retirement plans, health and welfare programs, and associated compliance requirements.
  • Track record of partnering with cross‑functional HR teams, legal, compliance, finance, payroll, and external vendors to drive results, optimize processes, and support business outcomes, leveraging HRIS and payroll systems such as Workday and Dayforce.
  • Foundational knowledge of leave of absence management and related laws (e.g., FMLA, ADA, and applicable federal and state leave regulations), with the ability to provide coverage and support for the current process owner while continuing to deepen skills in this area.
  • Experience in supporting the development of clear, effective employee benefit communications, including emails, presentations, guides, announcements, etc.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel for analyzing benefits and retirement plan data; Word for drafting employee communications and compliance documentation; Outlook/Teams/SharePoint for effective cross‑functional collaboration and information management; and PowerPoint for creating clear and concise presentations.

Responsibilities

  • Support administration of defined contribution 401(k) plan and defined benefit pension plan, ensuring accurate participant enrollment, annual plan testing and audit compliance.
  • Resolve routine to complex employee benefit inquiries across all health, welfare and leave of absence programs while partnering with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure seamless benefit delivery.
  • Prepare, analyze, and validate benefits‑related reports, dashboards, and financial data using Excel, and conduct data audits to ensure accuracy and integrity.
  • Draft and maintain benefits documentation, such as process guides, FAQs, summary plan descriptions, and communication materials.
  • Contribute to team projects, such as annual enrollment execution, compliance activities, process improvements, etc.
