Responsible for managing benefit-related policies and programs such as retirement, medical, dental, vision, sick leave, accident leave, short and long term disability, FMLA, etc. Accountable for design, vendor management, and company policy oversight of paid leave programs supporting qualified absences due to occupational and non-occupational events. Creates and manages corporate return to work programs. Provides a centralized, strategic focus to reduce lost time accidents & indemnity days paid rates. Review return to work efforts and provide strategic focus to improve results. Ensures compliance with multi-state & federal laws. Serves as an expert within own function and discipline. May lead function projects and serve as a best practices/quality resource. Responsibilities typically include: • Managing large projects including open enrollment, processes and/or products and systems with limited oversight from management. • Coaching, reviewing and assisting employees with benefits information. • Owner of Workers Compensation and COBRA programs/processes. • Facing function related problems that are difficult and moderately complex. • Serving as a multi-state benefits expert

Requirements

  • Requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience.
  • Requires broad management knowledge to lead functional teams.
  • Typically has mastery level knowledge and skills within multiple functional areas with broad understanding of others.
