They are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Benefits Account Manager to join their team. Requirements

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of independent agency benefits experience.
  • Active Washington State Life & Health License.
  • Fully Insured and Level Funded experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • Self-Insured/Self-Funded experience is a bonus, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service and manage client benefits calendars, including compliance, strategy, renewal, and Open Enrollment deliverables.
  • Serve as project manager and primary point of contact for day-to-day client issues.
  • Collaborate with and keep producers/consultants informed, while effectively delegating to supporting team members.
  • Foster and manage overall client relationships to ensure strong retention and client satisfaction.
  • Manage client benefit inquiries and resolve escalated service issues.
  • Meet with clients for pre-renewal strategy, proposal delivery, and explanation.
  • Analyze market proposals for verification of benefits, premiums, and competitiveness.
  • Negotiate with insurance carriers on behalf of clients.
  • Review coverage contracts for accuracy of policy provisions.
  • Conduct client open enrollment meetings and answer questions regarding benefit coverage.
  • Manage plan implementations from start to finish.
  • Ensure claims assistance and review utilization reports for accuracy.
