They are seeking an experienced Benefits Account Manager to join their growing team in the greater Seattle/Tacoma area. This role is central to maintaining and nurturing client relationships, serving as the primary point of contact for a dedicated book of business ranging from 25 to 150 lives. Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of true Account Manager experience in employee/group benefits (coordinator or assistant roles do not qualify toward this requirement).
  • Demonstrated experience managing fully funded and level funded accounts; self-funded exposure is a plus.
  • Stable employment history preferred — ideally no more than 2 employers within the past 10 years.
  • Strong passion for employee benefits and a high-energy, client-focused approach.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to manage client relationships effectively.
  • Proficiency in or willingness to learn platforms such as D365, Canva, SharePoint, EZ, BenefitPoint, and Employee Navigator (training provided).
  • Ability to work in a hybrid capacity — 2 to 3 days in office (Seattle or Tacoma location) and 2 to 3 days remote. Fully remote arrangements are not available for this role.
  • Active Washington State Life & Disability Insurance License preferred or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary client-facing Account Manager for a book of business consisting of 25–150 lives.
  • Manage accounts primarily under fully funded and level funded arrangements, with some self-funded exposure.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with employer clients, ensuring high satisfaction and retention.
  • Coordinate with internal teams for analytics and reporting support, allowing focus to remain on client service and relationship management.
  • Utilize company software platforms to manage client accounts, communications, and benefit plan information.
  • Stay current on industry trends, carrier offerings, and compliance requirements to provide informed guidance to clients.
  • Collaborate with internal colleagues across Seattle and Tacoma office locations as needed.
